“Copy on Call”
A few clients like my work so much, they have begun reserving a percentage of my time for the entire year.
It works a lot like a timeshare. They make a commitment to reserve a minimum of 12.5 percent of my time for twelve months. In return, they get my services for half of my standard per-project rate. Currently, three agencies and one individual client have reserved 62.5 percent of my time so far for 2008.
What are the benefits to this arrangement? Well, you get:
1. “Copy on call,” which means I drop what I’m doing to expedite your work and get it out quickly
2. Just enough copywriter to cover the work you have, without having to worry about all that overhead mess like insurance, 401K, equipment, supplies, etc.
3. A free pass on the 15% rush fee I typically charge on work due with less than 72-hours’ notice.
4. Any work required above the reserved amount invoiced at a still-discounted 65% of the normal per-project rate.
5. Me, on-site as needed (time and situation allowing), to discuss and work on your projects.
